One of the many joys of The International Fellowship of Saint John is hosting mission teams from around the world. Many come here from the Charis Bible College to complete their mission practicum, and others from the Free Methodist Church family across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America. Groups come to help out the various IFOSJ initiatives throughout the year. Spring and Summer however, bring much needed help for Pure Farm.
This past season, Pure Farm has been blessed by several volunteer teams. Hope FMC from Lancaster UK, came in early April. One of their days was spent helping out with various tasks at Pure Farm, and was the highlight of the younger team members. Later that same month. Pure Farm was visited by a farm team from Helston Light and Life FMC in Cornwall. This group of dedicated gardeners from Helston came specifically to help with some much needed structural design and implementation for the watering system, green house and soil preparation for the upcoming planting.
Volunteer From Poland
In late May, Pure Farm was visited by Kasia Kukieła from Poland, who was referred to IFOSJ by a graduate from the Charis Bible College in Poland. Kasia is a gardening teacher at a primary school near Warsaw. She has a desire to start a community supported garden in her region, and was referred to Pure Farm and IFOSJ team member Borislava Zaharieva. After the initial references were made, Kassia came to Kyustandil for a week and was helping out every morning at Pure Farm. From her experience both at the Farm and fellowship with the Zaharieva daughters Kati and Nadi, Kassia’s heart and mind were greatly inspired to start a similar project in Poland for her home community and students.
We at IFOSJ seek to touch others through the healing message of the Gospels, but also through our works. All of our Spring helpers from the FMC churches in the United Kingdom to a lone volunteer from Poland have not only given their talents and time to Pure Farm, they have been touched and inspired by witnessing God’s Love in action through our agricultural project.
We very much appreciate the generosity of all who support this ongoing ministry work.
